Hey Cue community, this is a very interesting project. My team exclusively uses Thrift for data schemas related to service management and I can see several places where we could utilize cue, particularly for writing user templates.
Has any existing contributor considered adding basic support for thrift? What is a ballpark estimate for the amount of time it would take a new contributor to add this support? Weeks? Months? Could you estimate the maintenance burden of keeping a thrift integration compatible with what ever other efforts are going on in cue? Is this something a single engineer could reasonable support with part of their time?
