System information

  • Windows OS version: Windows 10
  • ImageGlass version: 9.1.8.723 (64-bit)
  • ImageGlass release: Store / Classic? Classic

Describe the feature

I like using the gallery panel to browse through a folder of images, but opening multiple different images is kind of annoying. So it would be really good if we were able to right click on an image inside the gallery panel and open a menu; instead of on the image itself.
I like dragging the gallery panel to cover the whole screen and navigate it like that. This way I could have 1 window for gallery browsing and other windows for viewing the chosen images.

How to use feature

  1. Open Gallery Panel (G)
  2. Browse through the images
  3. Right click
  4. Click: "open in a new window"

Additional context

It would be nicer if the windows could have tabs kind of like a browser. This way I could have separate windows with multiple tabs inside (and not have tons of windows open), but I don't know how doable that is, and it's also fine without it. I use I different program to mass reference images.
But the right click to open in a new window would still be a really nice quality of life.

Other options:

  • Hotkey to open in a new window
  • Middle mouse click to open in a new window without losing focus of the current one
  • Other things could be added on the menu as well. Like copy, cut, etc. The usual stuff

In my own opinion I think it's nicer to open in a new window without losing focus of the current one. Having to alt-tab back every time I open in a new window to continue browsing the folder could get annoying.
