Show spinner for only part of the page

Hi is it possible to show the spinner for only a part of the page? I have the typical side bar and when the user clicks on the menu I would like to show the spinner on the right section only as oppose to the entire site.

Not in the current version. Currently the spinner overlays a slightly transparent layer over the entire page, essentially locking the entire page while the spinner is running. Overriding that full-page lock and specifying a single element on the page could be possible.

I think it would be a great feature. I will look into it when I have some free time - or feel free to submit a PR if you want to work on it.
