An option would be really nice to disable drag (scroll) when clicking in a text area. When using GMail or other online sites, it is really hard to edit with this extension is active

(BTW, using a modifier key, such as shift, is not an option because I'm also using it as a tablet with a pen)

Thanks for reporting! Sadly, I don't currently have much time to spend on this extension, but I'll keep this issue open. If you're comfortable submitting a pull request, that would be gladly accepted.

dragging being active in the text area also prevents text dragging, which makes certain extensions not work, like Simple Drag & Drop Search

You are about to read some bad English. and I am really sorry about it. I am not a native English speaker.
Sorry but even I don't think so this can be possible I wanted this functionality too but sadly this can't be possible without taking time to fix this means try everything and even then it hard to do it ...because both of these extensions use the same technique that the reason it's too hard to do it
forget about this ...I am fully sure @davidparsson would say the same Forget about this
You can only use one extension at a time or if you really want to enable both of these extensions at the same time then do the following
if you really want to use both of these extensions at the same time then there is only one method that can help you first go to scrollbar extension settings and then enable don't drag when clicking in text and now go to any page click on the text and use the other extension to drag. sometimes even this method will not work then you should try holding ctrl when you are dragging the text what it will do is it will disable the scrollbar extension and then you can fully able to drag the text with your another extension ....

There is another method too go to setting's and enable ctrl or any button of your liking ...now you can fully enjoy the experience of using both extensions

Hope it helps

Actually it might be possible to solve this conflict by giving the option to completely disable scrolling while clicking in textarea elements, similar to how scrolling can be disabled when clicking text.

Really Ho 😲 that a really good news ...but it will take time right ...and it could conflict with dragging ..
For example there are some webpages that have whole lot of text and elements and sometimes I even see some webpages that have whole background page and that whole background page is an element and that where problems start's ...on these kind of pages the extension doesn't work at all now think if you add this disable dragging feature I am fully sure I wouldn't able to drag the page if there are huge loads of text on the page ....

Is there is any solution to this too....

Sadly any web page that supports formatting uses HTML code that is really hard to identify. Gmail is one such example.
