Full CLI Support

Currently in Omnia, there is no complete CLI support for bare metal to full working HPC cluster. User needs to start with playbook and then perform series of actions on AWX.
Core Omnia CLI support is there but we are lacking in provisioning support.

Also AWX changing the functionality with every release, this inherently triggers the code changes in Omnia. As a alternative way we should have full cli support.

In Omnia 1.2 we can look at having 2 step cli support:

1. control_plane.yml -

• This will deploy complete management station.
• Downloads F/W
• Discovers and configures the complete hardware in the cluster (server, switches and RBOD arrays)
• Provisions OS automatically chooses between IB and OOB.
• End of step one user gets complete inventory of hardware and all node details.

2. omnia.yml

• User groups manager and compute after step one.
• Slurm and K8s cluster will be formed.

With just 2 commands user will have full function HPC cluster from bare metal, without AWX intervention.

@sujit-jadhav this seems to basically be how a user would use the CLI today:

1. Execute control_plane.yml
2. Turn on compute nodes, wait for them to be provisioned and placed in resource pool (host_inventory.yml)
3. cp host_inventory.yml my_cluster.yml
4. Edit my_cluster.yml to assign manager and compute roles to each host
5. Execute: ansible-playbook -i my_inventory.yml omnia.yml

Would the proposal be to remove steps 3 & 4?

@lwilson Step 2 is not completely automated. In 1.1, user needs to run idrac, infiniband, ethernet & powervault playbooks via AWX to provision those hardware. So we will have fully automated 2 and 3.
So user will execute step1 and then edit in step 4 and execute step 5.
