As long as you've secured your
keystore
contents and yourroot.json
metadata (including*.root.json
versions), it is possible to rebuild the tufup repo.The root metadata are important for continuity, because any apps that are already in the field will look for those root metadata, as discussed in the TUF spec.
The rest of the repository can be reconstructed from there.
The important thing is that the
targets.json
metadata should match the actual content of therepository/targets
