We need to look into this before we run out of free credit.

including PIllow as a core part of MOTH devel is a pain. If you're on the right OS and architecture, it's easy to pull libraries and install a binary version, but, if you're just slightly off, you're stuck compiling C extensions for PIL from scratch.
That's one of the big reasons that I moved from Alpine to Debian
Some things didn't have packages and bindings for ulibc
So you have to build from source

So I think the answer here may just be using a different base image.

I'll look into it, but I think that, if we're not finding prebuilt extensions for Debian, we're probably not going to find them
