Mods (complete and add to the following information):

  • CBA_A3
  • DUI Squad Radar

Description:

When equipped with a UAV Terminal or GPS, both of which have current bearing capability, details on cardinal directions and current bearing do not show on the Squad Radar at the bottom of the screen. It appears that the only item which counts towards this is the Compass itself.

Steps to reproduce:

  • Enable Bearing information above Squad Radar.
  • Equip Compass and GPS/UAV Terminal (any).
  • Drop Compass.
  • Note the lack of bearing information despite the GPS info panel giving it.

Expected behavior:

  • A GPS in your inventory should count as a Compass for the purposes of annotating the Squad Radar.

Where did the issue occur?

  • Anywhere.

Thanks for the report. Yeah the idea is kind of to have a compass for this all to work. The GPS part is also true, but was little utilized so far.

I can check how to implement this.

Thanks for the swift response. It's pretty minor, but would help greatly with immersion or with certain roles which may have a GPS but not a Compass (civilians mainly).
It should be Line 20 in diwako_dui/addons/radar/XEH_preInit.sqf.
