Mojave osx build

Would it be possible to host a build compatible with Mojave or for someone to send me one? I can't get homebrew to work...

@jowtron No, sorry. GitHub removed Mojave CI machines from the pool. What problem do you experience with package installed via homebrew?

It doesnt make an app binary in the applications folder, and when I copy the actual binary from the cellar folder into the non compatible app to try and make it work it has an "DYLD, [0x3] Wrong version" error. I'm a total noob with this stuff hence asking for an premade binary sorry.

@jowtron I understand - I'm not an expert in macOS, but I think the root cause is the packaging on Homebrew site. For many graphical apps Homebrew provides so called "casks": https://formulae.brew.sh/cask/ which appear in Applications dir.

There's dosbox cask, but no dosbox-staging… Perhaps Homebrew packagers will know how to handle it: @SMillerDev, @SeekingMeaning

Thanks for the suggestions, I got it to work in the end by removing all the brew directories and reinstalling it. It doesnt make an app package but copying the binary to the Catalina compatible app seems to work.

I'm again having issues installing this using homebrew on Mojave. Is it no longer compatible with Mojave? On a fresh install of Mojave and homebrew it fails with this:

Can you try another build now? You might have to clear your brew cache to force it to redownload the latest sources. Hopefully both HEAD and (draft) 0.78.1 can build OK now. Curious how it goes!

So first there was a SHA256 mismatch error but I edited the formula with the new ssh number and then got this:

That worked thanks! Although I still had to manually edit the ssh256 number in the formula file. I also just joined the discord, would it be better to resolve this kind of thing on that platform instead next time?

Thanks for the confirmation @jowtron. The homebrew project is in charge of their packaging (so we cannot fix or submit new hashes) - that said, they will likely will update them soon enough to stay in-sync.
