@nerun , I appreciate the contribution! I've removed the link to your build because we don't want external 3rd party builds shared here, and that includes builds from myself and other maintainers because it requires a leap of faith on the user's part if they're willing to trust it. There's also some responsibility placed on the person sharing private builds: despite well-meaning intentions, I would feel terrible if a build of mine was backdoored with a zero day keystroke harvester that happened to wipeout the life savings of a fellow user. Sure, we could rubber stamp builds with a "no warranty implied" label and say "sorry but we warned you!", but surely any real damages would be very difficult to live down. And I don't want put that on any one of us, despite how rare it might be. The only builds hosted here are generated by GitHub's CI runner software, each stepped logged, virus scanned, and with artifacts posted and reviewable for users to decide if they wish to trust (or not). It's true that GitHub's runners might be backdoor'd, but atleast that risk is on them, and hopefully such an event would be discovered early and we could pull the builds. None the less: you put the effort in and figured this out. Excellent! Can you join the Debian or Ubuntu packaging system (or PPA), and have their repo builders generate .Deb files for users on those platforms? That's the approach we similarly take for all 3rd party repos as well, such as brew, pacman, Fedora, flatpak, snap, etc. |

id also like to know which versions of debian or ubuntu youre compiling against. libc6 (glibc) is a huge issue for older distro versions and will be incompatible if compiled with newer versions. of course x2 to everything kcgen says |

I did this package using debian's dosbox package as a base. Tested and working.
