Connect to server then instant disconnect

I am trying to setup a server and a client. I have the server setup and running and the client can connect but then it is disconnected instantly with a code of NotClean for the disconnect even though my client still thinks it's connected. I've been basically trying out different code on the web and nothing has seemed to help. Any hints would be great.
