@DicerX
Can I get you to take https://github.com/dteviot/MergeWebToEpub for a test drive?
You can download a zip with the files making up the program from https://drive.google.com/file/d/1kZjoj1OpBIzY4UhtKv2GIJLLVodeSkQF/view?usp=sharing

Note, the "Table of Content" tab isn't working yet.
And you can right click on items in the "Spine" tab to delete or move them (using Copy/Paste) -> I need to update the readme

I just tried it on several epubs I have lying around, but honestly speaking this tool is convenient but it overlaps with the extension of "epubmerge" on Calibre?

Bugs, things to add later, is that I can only delete pages/chapters by right-clicking whilst the delete button doesn't work.

Yes, it's currently similar to "epubMerge",
But it will do some other things. Currently, it also converts webp images to jpeg.
And I plan to add automated cleanup of XHTML. (Something a bit better than the regexes that Calibre use.)

Something I just noticed that I always remove habitually now is the information page at the start of every epub, is it possible to disable it completely in the advanced section? Will try merging larger epubs shortly.

Note, one other thing this does (although not quite working) is look for missing chapters. Basically, scans the chapter numbers in the titles, and marks in the spine where they're out of sequence or missing. (I've yet to add that to the initial warning message.)
