I got a tool rdfpuml that makes diagrams from actual turtle using PlantUML. Eg I took the Multi_Page_TextWork example.
- Fixed it up (rationalized URLs, added prefixes), saved as gist PCDM_Multi_Page_Text.ttl.
- Processed with my tool to make PCDM_Multi_Page_Text.puml
- Processed with PlantUML. The result (click for full size):
I can also add a colored circle. Currently puml supports only one per node, but the dev is very responsive so he could add more (click for full size):
The benefits of generating from actual Turtle is that you ensure consistency between what you state and what you show. I'm using this to make:
- Mappings of museum data (Getty CONA) to CIDOC CRM: https://twitter.com/valexiev1/status/703130090201153536 and https://twitter.com/valexiev1/status/641251950605041664
- Holocaust Research into Jewish social networks for EHRI: https://twitter.com/valexiev1/status/676861087409643520
- NLP2RDF (NIF) representations for FP7 Multisensor: http://vladimiralexiev.github.io/Multisensor
- FrameNet to NIF: http://vladimiralexiev.github.io/Multisensor/FrameNet (paper accepted to LDL 2016)
But what I'd really love is for someone to hack this to visualise RDF Shapes. Perl monks wanted!
