tinymce4 -> tinymce5 Help needed #5155

I started converting the tinymce4 to tinymce6 plugin, but it was so confusing with error messages that I first started converting it to Tiny 5. Everything works fine except for the smileys from e107, the ones from tiny work fine btw.

I hope there is someone who can help me, in the plugins/smileys/plugin.js it says at the end of the file:

I do not get a failure then but off course there's no dropdown with icons, i need the code to migrate the 'panelbutton'from tiny 4 to tiny 5..
Anyone have an idea?

@Alex-e107nl did you see that e107 tiny has smileys folder on plugin root smileys , but tiny 6 (o.s) plugin/root/emoticons ?
another best to read ( as icon seems wrong as name for icon ? ) here at tiny and here

smileys is/was a custom tinymce plugin, 9 years old,
from here: https://github.com/nhammadi/Smileys

emoticons are inbuild in tinymce5 and they work nicely.

The problem is if you need your emoticons set.
emoticons_append should be used but json is different than for smileys.
emoticons_append

I could live with tinymce emoticons only.

If you test the tinymce5 plugin you can see that the e107 emoticons are loaded, the problem for me is that i do not know how to get them in a dropdown or a panel to choose from within tiny, that is the question, rest of the mediamanager buttons work like a charm....

I would also go for the working tiny emoticons but, they get saved as ???? in a page so you can select them but saving is not working yet....
But when that works i should be possible to use the tiny in the chatbox with basic menu with emoticons...

In e107_plugins/tinymce5/plugins/smileys/plugin.js a get a nice popup but i cannot get:

Tested it on e107.nl Latest github... with the latest database changes it works!!!! Tiny emoticons get saved an can be seen in a page or menu or news....

you should use
entity_encoding: "numeric"
but I found it only commented in the code.

I can't help more, sorry. And yes, there were changes after 2.3.3 that allow to save emoji into database correctly (without need a image as replacement)

Well i have been looking at version 6, made the e107 plugin working with v5 and what do they do in 6...

Methods
create
create(s:String, p:Object, root:Object)

Creates a class, subclass or static singleton.
Deprecated in TinyMCE 5.10 and has been marked for removal in TinyMCE 6.0.

And it really is removed... how to replace the create() method is solved now... problem now is the javascript errors, i just want to get this working :-)

Oke,to prove to myself that the e107 plugin with Tinymce 6 now works, I placed the lorumipsum plugin in the same folder as the e107 plugin and configured it to ensure that the e107 plugin works. And it works fine, so everything else is fine, the only thing that remains to be done is to convert the plugin.js from e107 to something that works... But because I really don't understand JavaScript, everything is new to me... so any help is welcome, the tinymcs6 plugin works, now only the functions of e107 are still included.

This works as plugin.js:

How do I get this to work for e107? I have been working on it a bit, but the only thing that works is that I get e107 mentioned in the help function of tinymcs :-)
