incorrect data when compiled by the kernel

There is a small code that, when compiled with the Arduino kernel (version 4.1.1), produces the correct results:

But when compiling with the Earle F. Philhower, III kernel (version 3.7.2), I get error results:

PACKED is a MBED non-standard define to make GCC pack the structure instead of using normal alignments. So, in this core and anything non-MBED, you're actually defining a new typedef .... PACKED; where you could instantiate an object PACKED p1;

Use __attribute__((packed)) instead to be compatible with generic GCC as so:

And typedef is ignored, you did not give the struct a typedef name. But it's a warning, not an error.
