Welcome to GitHub -- Explore the class repository with this scavenger hunt!

  • Profile: Customize your profile with a photo and short bio
  • Code: Change to the branch matching yourusername-contrib. You should only be able to make changes to that branch!
  • Code: In your branch, edit the README.md file to add your name, occupation, and location using Markdown.
  • Pull requests: Create a pull request for your changes. When you submit your pull request, reference this issue using the # symbol. It will be merged into the main branch once two other students review it.
  • Pull requests: Review two other students' open pull requests for README changes (you may need to wait for someone else to submit changes). Be sure to leave a comment!
  • Discussions: Start your own discussion in one of the Community categories
  • Wiki: Find and review the Syllabus
  • Wiki: Make sure you can access all the Important Links.
  • Issues: Go to the issues tab, and filter the issues so you only see your issues -- select "assigned to me" in the dropdown menu. You should see this issue there, and maybe one or two more, but not all the issues.
  • Issues: When you have finished, check off everything on this list and then close this issue. Be sure to leave a message!
