Welcome to the digital branch of the Wesley Works Editorial Project!

We currently have the texts of all of Wesley’s sermons available (Vols. 1–4), as well as one volume of his letters (Vol. 27).

In addition to these primary texts, we offer the following supplemental resources, linked to within the primary documents whenever appropriate:

biographies for Wesley’s 700+ correspondents;

short encyclopedia entries for key terms in Methodist and Wesleyan Studies; and

tags for recurring themes in Wesley’s writings.

To learn more about our team, methodology, and future plans, please see our About page.

Update: 2021-09-20

We are currently encoding Volume 27: Letters III, 1756-1765. We will not be waiting until each volume is completely encoded to publish it on the site, but will publish files in batches. For the letters we will publish them in groups by year, as follows:

Letters from 1756 will be up no later than the final week of September 2021.

Letters from 1757 are expected to be up by late October 2021.
