I came here looking for this too. #100 has a lot of comments and if you follow all the links (I think I followed all of them correctly), it leads to this PR that hasn't been accepted yet: esphome/esphome#7289 |

It seems reasonable that one might use the MHK2 algorithm & nuanced operational smarts to maintain system efficiency (and appease other household members more interested in using a traditional thermostat to control HVAC) while also using an ESP32 to gather additional diagnostics and allow integration with Home Assistant.
I see some folks have had success doing this with a CN105 splitter by AirZone (e.g. #105). But the connector is a bit pricey and the ESP32 seems to have the proper hardware to allow native support for passing info through to/from the MHK2. The mUART group seems to now offer "support for connecting a MHK2 (and possibly MHK1) to a second software UART," and I see that @echavet has contemplated potential integration of this function into the MitsubishiCN105ESPHome module.
I'm wondering: has anyone gotten the MitsubishiCN105ESPHome module to allow integration with the MHK2 thermostat -- either via integration with the mUART module or any other way?
