Verify India certificate barcode

We are implementing the India barcode verification for covid 19 certificate and we have the following questions:

1. After scanning the barcode we want to implement the RSA verify on the payload.
   since the signature is part of the scanned json, under the "proof" key, we do not understand what is the data we need to send to the RSA verify function
2. should i use the public key under https://verify.cowin.gov.in/ for verification

Hello,
Thank you for the answer, but we still have a verification issue.
In our solution, we decode the payload and verify it using the public key. But in the case of the Cowin certificate, we can't understand which part of the payload was signed. Would you please guide us here?
Please see the sample we have. Is the "JWS" contain a signature for the "evidence" part?
