• --no-gpu and --gpu is now available irrespective of platform. GPU is still default on Intel Macs, for all others it has to be enabled (see README).
• Will now detect when running on Apple Silicon if Python installed is a Universal2 binary (or tesla_dashcam compiled with Apple Silicon Python binary) and disable GPU by default due to issues with ffmpeg on Apple Silicon.

I believe I am still seeing GPU acceleration enabled by default on Apple M1 silicon unless the --no-gpu flag is invoked, which leads to a non-viewable video. I tested both with and without invoking the OSXExparts ARM ffmpeg static build.

Can you run it with --loglevel DEBUG and give me the first few lines. Mainly looking at what would be line 2 & 3 providing the platform and processor architecture. Mine shows:

Ah, cause I added them just after that release. Could you grab the dev branch and check with that? Wanna see what it is detecting from platform and processor within the app.

As for processor, this may be helpful:

That might come in handy. Can you run: sysctl machdep.cpu

Wanna see what other values there are. Might use that to determine CPU if OS is Darwin and processor is not arm.
