Just spotted that a contribution - that was generated in CiviCRM and synced to Xero, is now showing in CiviCRM as 'Completed'. However when viewing the invoice in Xero what actually happened was that a credit note was created and applied to the invoice, meaning that nothing was owed, but neither was anything paid. In CiviCRM the status of the contribution record changed to 'Completed', and because it was linked to a membership, the membership was then activated.

Applying a credit note appears to the way Xero suggests in order to write off a bad debt, which is what happened in this case), so CiviXero should be able to recognise that in some way, and record it appropriately in CiviCRM.

Hi @Upperholme agree it would be nice to handle this. If you have funding available I can look at implementing.
