3rd Gen Pen (R1) stops playing .gme files after a while

Hello,

i put some audiobooks as .gme files on the 3rd gen pen of my daugher after the 2nd gen pan broke.
The problem with the new pen is, that the audio stops with the "Der Stift schaltet sich in einer Minute ab" idle message.
So she can't listen to the whole book.

Any ideas how to fix this?

spend some more time printing oids or buy a cheap mp3 player instead ?

not to deter any further investigation, but i can understand the design choice of saving power when the optical device is unsollicitated.
