First, this successfully disabled my external monitors.

The following happened when I disabled my internal Macbook Pro (2017, no touchbar, Big Sur 11.2.1) monitor:

  1. Internal monitor went black but not off. Backlight was still on.
  2. I unplugged an external monitor and all monitors went black. I tried opening and closing the lid, nothing. Had to hold power to restart computer.
  3. Restarted, thankfully everything was working.

This is a really great tool. Windows allows disabling of all monitors, and I really wish MacOS did as well. I would love it if this became a fully-functional tool and I didn't worry it would damage my computer.

If you got this into the App Store I would definitely pay money for it.
