There is currently no quick way for a screen reader user to know which song is currently playing in LMS. I think one good place to put this information, which would also align with all other streaming services I've ever used, would be the page's title tag. It could also act as a visual at-a-glance display in the user's list of tabs for example.
Maybe this could be an opt-in feature in case some users feel it would be an intrusion.

That's a fair point. Indeed there's currently no easy way to tell the page you're on other than the title. Personally I'd be happy to miss this info and have the title of the currently playing song there but I can see why some (if not most) users wouldn't be happy to give up this info. So if this was behind a setting I would definitely have it on, but I understand why you'd rather not add settings bloat like this.
