Thank you for the mentoring process. I'm gaining a lot.

I realised the mapshaper doesnt convert images as well.

Do we have to convert images before we bring them unto our geoportal? Which platform is best suited for the conversion?

You don't have to convert any image. We used mapshaper to convert shapefiles to geojson.
So far, the only time we used an image was through geoserver (and that is the treecover layer).
