Blockquotes not converting

I have a bunch of blockquotes in my papers (converting old academic papers into HTML to host on my website), and they won't convert using this tool. The block quotes are comprised of paragraphs that are indented, without quotations. I used markdown below but in the google docs they're just indented.

This is a blockquote. Please help me stay a blockquote.

Thanks for opening this issue. I think it's worth exploring, since block quotes are common in some docs. Google Docs does not have a blockquote type, but we can try assuming that indented paragraphs are meant to be block quotes and see if that messes with any other text conversions. I'll ping this bug if I make any progress.

Some notes: we already detect if a paragraph is indented. Sometimes it is because the paragraph is a list item that is indented. But if it's a plain paragraph, we may be able to assume that it should be a block quote and mark it up as such. I'll try that when I ge some time.

Unfortunately we haven't found a blockquote solution yet. I've already tried some variations like:
'text here'
"text here"
> text here
Has anyone found the solution to create the conversion for "blockquote" tag?

I'm also not seeing indentation generate blockquotes with this plugin. It seems as though this functionality has not yet been implemented? Any way we can see this added rather soon?
