Name: Production Wars : Visual infos
What can be useful to see/know in this scenario

Details

1a/ When in main lobby, we can discuss about teams and players, but when the game is launched, the popup to join the game lobby doesnt show the settings. I would like to add infos in this popup (in fact that request is global, settings should be readable for all games).

1b/ When in game lobby, chat could give the info the "if not all players are joining teams, game will auto-start in 2 minutes" (please translate this quote in valid english :) )

2a/ When in spectator mode, you see a black screen and have to move up north to see the players area. Also minimap is not working, so you kinda lost if you dont know you have to move blindly.

2b/ When in spec mode, you dont see player names upon their character, you have to mouseover them to see their name in the detail GUI.

Two modes of prod wars are available : Global task (Shopping List) and Team task (Production mode)

3a/ Global task : The only info given to players is the total of products shipped in the red chests by ALL teams, so you dont know how much you or other teams has already shipped. I think we need a GUI that shows to all teams (and spectators) what each team has already sent.
For now, the best strat is to NOT ship anything until you have produced [Global total requested divided by number of teams plus 1] and ship them all at once. So you have info about how much other teams shipped, but it is risky if others teams do the same because then we play totally blind and you just hope to be the first to complete. (ex: with 3 teams and 1200 global requested, when you have 1200/3+1=401, you ship those and you win).

3b/ Production mode : each team has to provide the same number of products each, and each team knows how much they shipped already. But they dont know how much other teams has shipped. I think we need the same GUI to show to all teams (and spectators) what each team has already sent.
Same as above, the strat can be to ship all products at once, and hope your team is the first to complete the challenge

4/ End of round :

  • in Production mode : after the first team completed its tasks, a GUI appears with Update roles.lua #1 place, name of that team, and score. Then for the 5 next minutes, each team which complete the tasks is added to that GUI with place/team name/score. But it seems that it is limited to the 5 first teams only (i finished sixth once and was not added to the GUI).

  • in Production mode, you have 5 min after the winner team completed the tasks to complete your own tasks, before you go back to the lobby. That is almost fine. But giving some more time (60 seconds?) so that the teams who didnt complete the tasks has some time to debrief and have a look to other team bases and see quantities from all teams would be great.

  • in Global task, the round ends immediatly when the global number required is reached and send you back to lobby. That is NOT fine just frustrating. I think we need some time (again 60 senconds?) to debrief and check other bases. But more important is that you dont know the distribution of number products made by each team, (even yours EDIT : not true you can see what you shipped). If 3a/ and 3b/ are not implemented, the least we need is that those values should be written the chat.

  • After each round, we go back to "Production wars" lobby and 10 second later we go back to "Main lobby" where scores are written in the chat, but only for the 3 first teams. I think we need to know the whole ranking, and also the values of number sent by each team. (I know i already asked for that directly in the game, but repeating it would help teams for more debrief without having to remember values).

Possible methods
Some of these requests need GUIs because using chat would be a flooding. Others only need to be written in chat.

I think the worst is that in "Global task" mode we have no idea at the end how many items were shipped by everyone. We need stats.
