Describe the problem you'd like to solve 🧐

  • I believe that 🎵 music 🎨 art and creativity can greatly improve people's mental health. My idea for a final project is to provide a platform for people to input their current state of mind and be matched to the song, film, artist or writer that will empathise with what they are feeling, good or bad 🎭

Who are the stakeholders?

  • Everyone of all ages
  • Businesses that want to promote mental health
  • Social media companies that want to promote art therapy

What is currently being done to solve this problem?

  • There are currently many music and streaming services that tailor the user's preferences and suggest possibilities that they will like but this isn't specific to how the person is feeling in the moment.

What technology might be interesting to explore?

  • I would like to utilise React and Next.js to make a dynamic, vibrantly styled, fast performing application

  • I would like to investigate if this can be achieved with AI,
for which Python or Javascript are the top programming languages to use.

  • I've heard about AI that can detect if humans are not being honest 😱
How companies use artificial intelligence to detect lying

So I wonder if this same method can be used to help people that are hiding their struggles
a way to use tech for good! 🤗

I don't remember 100%, but I think another team in my cohort had a difficult time while trying to use the Spotify API, because it has many legal bindings. I think they had mentioned they were restricted even in the selection of colours for their app 🤔
