Tech stack, product, and architecture definition. Backend Development, Code Reviews, and DevOps.

🇸🇪 MLOps Engineer @Gavagai

Developing AI-powered chatbots to handle customer support. My contribution ranges from Machine Learning model development to Software Architecture design, with a specific focus on scalability. Our solution consists of a web application employing state-of-the-art technologies in natural language processing, machine learning, and deep learning.

🇮🇹 Strategic CTO @Sicuro

Built Microservices in order to complement the web app solution with AI modules and features.

🇪🇸 Strategic CTO @Compactor

Migration of old e-commerce to a new more modern tech stack composed of Odoo ERP, Magento 2, and Vuestorefront. Definition and creation of processes to handle accounting, logistics, and inventory management.

It equips students in the field of data science but also trains them to become entrepreneurs and leaders. I built technical and business skills which can be applied to different domains. A combination of these abilities gives rise to a person who can convert deep knowledge of technical tools into innovation.

Relevant Research & University Projects

  • Data Science Game (November 2018): reached the finals of a World Wide Machine Learning competition. Went for 3 days in Paris to Capgemini castle. The competition was sponsored by: Microsoft, Capgemini, and BPN Paribas.

  • Master Thesis — Estimating 3D Object Coordinates from 2D Real-Time Videos: proactively developed an efficient Deep Learning method to extract the 3D position of a Soccer Ball from a Single Moving Broadcast Camera (2D Videos). Gained expertise in training Deep models and working with high-resolution images.

  • Skopos — Open Source Deep Reinforcement Learning Library: created an easy-to-use Deep Reinforcement Learning library with all the most recent state-of-the-art techniques. Improved knowledge and skills of Tensorflow, and acquired valuable expertise in building complex Deep Learning projects.

  • 5G & Deep Learning: successfully developed and implemented an intrusion detection system using Deep Learning, a Stacked Denoising Auto-encoder to extract the most meaningful features, and a simple Soft-max regression for the classification task.

  • Applied Machine Learning: developed a system to understand the “goodness" of a credit card used to facilitate a bank in the risk prediction procedure.

  • Bachelor Thesis: developed table game in Java; improved knowledge of low-level programming and structured problem resolution.

  • Business Thesis: market analysis for an AI Consultancy startup.

  • Business Summer School: business competition and training in collaboration with external companies (Airbus, Veridian Labs, ProGlove, and EOS). Received 1st Prize for the best project.

  • Business Development: developed a business idea with the tutoring of Uber to improve the market penetration across Italy. Got practiced with the common business strategic tools along with the lean startup method and the blue ocean methodology.
