This is implemented in glitch-soc already.

Basically, the things we should implement:

  1. Proper whitelisting of rich-text tags in posts
  2. Options for displaying rich text (e.g. removing it entirely, or replacing it with other kinds of formatting)
  3. Options for composing rich text
