Hello! I've been trying to use this program as a OneNote substitute and it's been a modestly successful endeavour, however there are some things that don't make much sense(even in the general context) but hopefully shouldn't take too much effort to change:
When I insert a document/image/whatever, I'm prompted to scale it in terms of canvas size. Meanwhile when I import something, it's usually because I want to annotate it, so I ideally want to import it at the original size(no quality loss due to scaling) and then resize the canvas appropriately so I can export it later without much hassle.
Maybe I just missed it, but currently I see no deselect option aside from cancelling the entire selection, so when I try to select several things and accidentally select something I don't want... Well, you get the idea.
Kinda related to 2: when selecting, say, drawn lines, you have to click exactly on the line, so it's easy to miss and select the document beneath it. That'll probably call for a layers system, hope it's not too much of a bother.
Selecting("cutting out") a portion of the imported document to put it elsewhere. Right now I use Okular to clip the parts I need, but it would be really great to have everything in one program.
As far as OneNote comparisons go, a lot of small features are missing, but I feel like just these four will improve usability a lot for a lot of people. Truth be told, the app is already pretty great, so you're definitely onto something. Thank you for reading this, hope my suggestions are of some help!
