To be tested, in race mode the timer should start automatically and any reset causes a forfeit. Players are meant to start the run after the timer starts on its own, if that is the case then starting from game launch lime normal runs would be impossible because that would cause a reset from the auto splitter and therefore a forfeit.
For this task, look into detecting runs done for a race and automatically preventing reset except for dual reset similarly to no reset splits.

So it looks like this is supported properly: initial reset of timer just after the timer had started did not cause a forfeit, but a reset 1 minute in did. I will have to test more how race mode works to see if this initial reset is causing any sort of feature loss (is timer different during race?)
