Hello! I want to start off by saying that I love this addon, it has helped me make my life much easier and to still have it be supported and free is amazing and I appreciate it a lot!
Me and my team use it a lot when we develop games. Because of this, we often need the option to not clear images to keep the file more manageable. And to give us a new way to texturing, we often use the Blender way to baking textures because there's a checkbox that tells the baker to not clear the image before baking.

This one.

So, I propose to have a simple checkbox underneath the "Bake" button to clear or not clear the Image.

You are right, that option should be added.
Thank you for your kind words btw.

This is not as straightforward.

I see this only being possible as an extension of the Force: Single mode; multiple textures per bake, bound to each bake pair within the selection, won't be supported, as I don't want this to relay on actual Active Images selected within shaders per object, because we won't drop to that extend our internal managing of textures as baking targets.

I see the implementaion like this: when selecting Force: Single, a "Persistent" or "Keep Image" option would appear below, disabled by default. Enable it and your bake will be performed on the image currently set as a backdrop of the UV Editor.
Are you OK with that?
