UPS freezes #88

Hi,
I use a script with Shutdown Countdown option to power off my raspberry after 30 seconds. That works good but sometimes, the ups freezes and doesn't power off the raspberry. Led's power is still on and therefore the raspberry is still running. When I press the ups button, it doesn't do anything (short and long press). At this time, I have to remove the batteries and put it back. It is very annoying...
Can you please tell me what could cause this behaviour? and how can I fix it?

which firmware version? I upgraded to v. 10 approx. 3 weeks ago and my UPS did not freeze since.
in fact, you can tell if the UPS is in the freeze status, when it does not correctly report about USB-C or micro-USB voltages any more, or it does report some constant battery temperature value without any "noise" (always the exact same value).

Thanks for your reply. I'm currently running v9 - I didn't know v10 was available. I'll try to upgrade and hope it will solve the pb.
