trouble adding h5fortran as a dependency to fpm.toml?

I'm working on a project and would like to add h5fortran as a dependency.

My dependencies in fpm.toml look like

[dependencies]
quadrature-fortran = { git="https://github.com/jacobwilliams/quadrature-fortran.git" }
quadpack = { git="https://github.com/jacobwilliams/quadpack.git" }
h5fortran = { git="https://github.com/geospace-code/h5fortran.git" }

But when I try to fpm build I get the following errors:

/usr/bin/ld: cannot find -lhdf5hl_fortran
/usr/bin/ld: cannot find -lhdf5_fortran
/usr/bin/ld: cannot find -lhdf5_hl
/usr/bin/ld: cannot find -lhdf5
collect2: error: ld returned 1 exit status

Maybe I'm not adding the dependency correctly?

Sorry, should have also mentioned that I'm building on WSL. My version of gfortran is 9.4.0:

So I ended up moving to Ubuntu 22.04 and building the most recent version of fpm (0.10.1, alpha). Then I added

[dependencies]
hdf5 = "*"

To the fpm.toml in my fork of h5fortran.

@scivision are you interested in a pull request once the hdf5 dependency is in a tagged release of fpm?
