@garmr-ulfr, while using NordVPN on Windows 10, experienced a seemingly showstopping problem while attempting to use the widget in Microsoft Edge:

It seems the browser is unable to gather ICE candidates at all?

Apparently the issue resolves itself when split tunneling is disabled in NordVPN.

I thought this might be related to STUN request parallelism in the browser, given Firefox's history of complaints -- but I fixed that (here) and it didn't improve things.
