So the server I'm playing has custom death message plugin called DeathMessage

I don't really sure if any servers using this as well, but I would love to see this mod supports "custom death messages"

Since it doesn't supports, the death message is now blank, kinda "useless" for knowing what/who killed you

If it's not possible then alright at least worth the suggestion 👀

Hey, as much as we would like to support this, it is not possible from DeathLog's side. The plugin you're using quite literally just removes the standard death message, which is the only thing that is properly sent to the client and that DeathLog can store. We've also looked somewhat into the plugin's code and it seems that it is also not really feasible for them to send the message the normal way. We'll try and see if we can get in contact with the plugin developers and check if there is a way to fix this. I'll get back here once we know more
Cheers

After talking to the developer, it appears that this problem will resolve itself in the near-ish future. The plugin is currently being rewritten and in the new version the author does not intend to nullify the death messages anymore, which was apparently something left over from before the current developer was maintaining the plugin. I'll keep this issue open for now as a reminder, but I'm confident it should get fixed from DeathMessages' side soon
Have a great day
