Jep, but i admit it's not so easy to discover: by holding ctrl and shift key while clicking a department all subdepartments get selected. By pressing shift key only multiple departments are join selected. And with only ctrl key the tree below a the clicked department gets fully opened or closed

Not working on Mac-OS. Ctrl-Click is the substitute for secondary mouse click.
