When loading a 1D profile viewer of a subset of a 30 GB FITS cube, glue crashes. I suspect it's trying to load the whole cube and exceeding the memory limits of the selected node.
How can we very strongly avoid this kind of behavior? SpectralCube includes warnings / overload-prevention tactics; can we expose those more clearly in glue?
