Way to get Gateway debug file?

Is there a way to get the log file that Gateway writes? I want to do this to have a separate program verify position and order state from my main program. Sort of a second opinion I suppose.

I saw WriteDebug in one of the config files and I'm guessing that this is it but I'm not sure, obviously.

you can get logs from the UI, this is because logs are encrypted which will be a nice challenge for your project

Ok I didn't think/know the logs were encrypted since when you run Gateway locally they give you the option of viewing them unencrypted, at least I thought they did.
