Overview

The About Us Page needs a content update to make sure it follows the new voice and tone guidelines. There also needs to be a collaboration established with research to make sure any legal information or descriptions of the process are accurate and specific to CA.

UXD issue is #1366 where I left comment : Onwubu worked on this issue for a bit and reformatted the layout. @jyehllow and I will review it to ensure it is consistent with the rest of the website's design. We will then hand it over to Dev.

Quick fixes were not added, so I went back through to check where they were and have added them to the design updates. Cheryl wrote this copy as the solution previously, and have now added it into the new redesign:

Why expungement matters
-1 in 3 people in America have a criminal record.
-Black people are disproportionally convicted of low-level, nonviolent crimes.
-In California, 227,650 marijuana convictions were eligible for record clearance (expungement). 94% of those convictions were cleared between 2019 and 2023. Source: Department of Justice.
