What: We should add a persistent banner to the top or side of the Map Layers with the text:
"Open Source! Interested in contributing by updating data for map layers? Click here to request contributor rights!" that links to the maps contributing doc, like this: https://docs.google.com/spreadsheets/d/1DaFbYMFFjldWLinzJJDr1URwF-5bP-JGJVPxpn_pRZo/edit#gid=0

A "banner" / overlay to direct people to contribute / report / or read the credits may be easily done with a "Control" in Leaflet.js

Is there a preferred destination for reports/feedback provided by users? Is the primary desire there to allow for inaccuracies (ex: a locations has closed/moved) to be reported?

What do you all think of a banner like this near the top? I just found this generic Tailwind UI banner on their site and plopped in into the map to get a feel for how it'd look.

Looks fine to me. Anything is better than what we have now. Thanks

To start, I'd say directing the links to https://data.openupstate.org/map-layers would be good, since it explains some things. Linking directly to the spreadsheets may cause confusion without context of what people should do, and that these are part of a project.
