Add MSmart Home app support #51
Comments
MsmartHome app use a Proxied URL. |
@hillaliy are you planning to support MSmartHome in the nearest future? |
Highly recommend suggesting that users create a second Midea account and share their devices (from the Midea app, you can generate a QR code to share with another account) with it to avoid the client logout forced when you authenticate in two different places (Homebridge + app) - that's what I did, and Midea does allow +anything emails to be seen as a different account so I've got [email protected] and that is only connected to the homebridge-midea-air config. |
@taylorwilsdon it's a part time solution, after next year this will not be an option anymore as midea drops support for the old app |

@hillaliy any updates on this by chance? If you know what might be required it could help enable someone to help |

I can also offer to help.. no clue where to begin however. |
Is there any reason why the configuration allows for MSmartHome and the plugin contains code for interacting with the api, even though it's nonfunctional? |
Midea started to push a new app called MSmart home, ceasing the support of the App Midea Air by 2023.
The bad news is that they are blocking the account who connected to the new app thus breaking the homebridge connection.
