The original notmuch-mutt script can also reconstruct threads, I'm guessing this is not something this script does right now? Is it something you've thought about fixing if not? :)

To be honest, I haven't used the old script in such a long time that I don't even remember what it looks like. I'd be happy to take a pull request, or more information on how to accomplish this task.

I'm not sure how it works, I just know I often get answers to mails which has been moved to +archive and I would love to just hit a button and get the whole discussion being able to move between different related mails.

Just having a look at https://git.notmuchmail.org/git?p=notmuch;a=blob;f=contrib/notmuch-mutt/notmuch-mutt;h=0e46a8c1b95e76163eed68694aa5a1a973c8b371;hb=HEAD#l117 it feels like they get the message id and then search for that message id with --output=threads

You probably understand it better than me? 😄
