oh I love that idea - it does sound like it might take some hosting (unless your vision is for a static, GitHub pages version?) |
We could build/fork what was used for ar5iv? https://ar5iv.labs.arxiv.org/html/1910.06709 Converst Latex to what is basically an HTML5 compliant webformat. For posters, papers and articles we're fine (Also works super well for things like screen readers on the accessibility front 🙌🏻) For talks I don't see a world where we're hosting our own full video CDN unless the funding is significant. Youtube or the likes is more than fit for purpose |
That's a cool idea! I've definitely done UIs that can handle LaTeX and stuffs. Feel free to jump on this before me, I'll put it down on my monster TODO for a future evening / weekend. |
NGL, I shouldn't even be thinking about HPC.social RN 🥲 Need to get those dammed FP16 BLAS kernels and relevant infra done and land a job sooner rather than later. that and maybe beat the Pi world record using dark magics 😈 |
I think it's OK :) For whatever power is in me, I give you permission to work on the stuff that is most fun first! 😆 |
LOL You're way too fun to work with xD |
@FCLC Can you add this to the Discussion topic at hpc-social/hpc-social.github.io#43 please? Also thanks to both of you for awesome work. I think the next Project however should be for Community Organizations -- like the map page but without the map and with more fields to allow entry of a description of the organization as well as contact info and a link to their home page. |
In addition to the community blogs, any interest in hosting a sort of in community HPC arxiv of sorts? For people to share their papers, posters, talks and other publications in the community?
