Thanks for the great library Hugh. Just a small suggestion, I had the regular Torch version and wanted to start using Torch-cl and making use of my ancient radeon GPU.
What was not obvious for myself - and maybe for others - is what the relationship is between the two versions, how do you specify this variant to be run. For example, I tried copying files from my old torch directory to the new 'torch-cl' directory to get them to run.
The key (from what I understand) is the 'activate' command that switches between vanilla torch and the open CL variant. You have to activate the CL variant before installing new libraries, and also when opening a new Terminal window (on Mac).
So not a bug, but rather a possible improvement would be making this clearer on the Github readme/page. :-)
