Issue Type: User Research
Summary:

This issue is created to plan, track, and share findings from the user research we intend to conduct for Hypha.coop. I have heard that visitors might not easily understand what the coop does from the current content on our website. The goal of this research is to understand our users better, improve their experience, and identify areas for enhancement.

Objectives:

  • Understand how users currently interact with our website.

  • Identify user pain points and areas for improvement.

  • Gather feedback on specific features or proposed changes.

  • Explore user needs and preferences to guide future development.

Research Methods:

  • Surveys: To collect broad quantitative and qualitative data.

  • User Interviews: For in-depth understanding of user experiences.

  • Usability Testing: To observe real-time interaction with the website.

  • Analytics Review: Assessing website usage data for patterns and trends.

Timeline:
TBD

Participants:

First, I think we could be targeting friends of Hypha, people that are familiar with our work and that are present in our public matrix channel. Then, we could expand to include a wider audience, both frequent and infrequent visitors.

Key Questions:

  • What are the primary reasons users visit our website?

  • Which features do users find most valuable?

  • What challenges or frustrations do users face while navigating our site?

  • How do users perceive the overall design and usability?

Expected Outcomes:

  • A comprehensive report detailing user behaviors, preferences, and feedback.

  • Actionable insights for website improvements.

  • Recommendations for future feature development.

Call for Collaboration:

We welcome contributions from all team members and the community. Please share any ideas, resources, or expertise that could assist in this user research.
