Unable to sync between shells

After constructing a shell on SMP and entering a shell storage unit, I saw no wheel to use to swap to a newly constructed shell, I tried using it as though the wheel was still there, but it would seem that this is more than a visual glitch. Am using Sync-1.12.2-7.0.2.
