compare with clipboard should be available from compare editor

The compare with clipboard command is extremely useful. It would be even better 
if it were available from the compare editor. E.g. if I'm comparing 2 versions 
of a file and some code has moved to a different point in the file, I'd like to 
be able to copy the old version of that code and compare with the new, moved 
version, to see what changed. Currently I have to copy one side into a 
different editor first.

What version of the product are you using? On what operating system?
