Loot in corpses is not determined until they are opened; Presumably to save space and allow context-specific randomization.
If a container with random loot is still to be seeded, it seems to have an object classification as the first 3 bytes (class/subclass/type). Most likely to draw from a loot-table. In the few tests this classification was set from the original type of critter.
